The Solar training with the Senior Phase was great as the learners had some understanding of Solar Energy, five learners were awarded solar desk lights and in the Intermediate phase training 10 learners were awarded with 9 Solar Desk lights and 1 Theft proof roof light after they had answered to the solar questioner.
AFSD has embarked on an ambitious programme that will see its Team address the challenges of climate change, mainstreaming gender, food security, energy generation, conservation of our natural resources and local economic development of the surrounding communities. AFSD will be using its farm in the Magaliesburg to pilot and then scale projects that will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, also guided by the NDP to create jobs and develop the skills of the surrounding communities.

Empowering Yello Woods youth. A Solar light at a time.
Today we trained 40 Intermediate and 51 Senior Phase learners, on the topic of solar energy. One of the main objectives for the training was for the "changing of behaviour". If behaviour can be changed in this area, it will affects choices, lifestyle and ultimately, the environment. See more...
