AFSD has embarked on an ambitious programme that will see its Team address the challenges of climate change, mainstreaming gender, food security, energy generation, conservation of our natural resources and local economic development of the surrounding communities. AFSD will be using its farm in the Magaliesburg to pilot and then scale projects that will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, also guided by the NDP to create jobs and develop the skills of the surrounding communities.

Empowering Van Stadens youth, A Solar Light at a time
Today we trained of 60 of school's learners, on the topic of solar energy. One of the main reasons for the training was for the "changing of behaviour". If behaviour can be changed in this area, it will affects choices, lifestyle and ultimately, the environment. The one group was 31 grade 4's,5's,6's and 7's and the second group was 29 grade R,1's,2's and 3. See more...
