The Solar training with the Senior Phase was great as the learners had some understanding of Solar Energy, five learners were awarded solar desk lights and in the Intermediate phase training 10 learners were awarded with 9 Solar Desk lights and 1 Theft proof roof light after they had answered to the solar questioner.

Witteklip MPC Handover

This event come's after the renovations that took place in Witteklip,its purpose is to handover the Witteklip MPC to the community leadership in the presence of the community members as they will be using this newly renovated building . See more...

Not even Wet weather conditions and load shedding could disturb this event. Community members came from various communities to come and enjoy the day with us as we handed over the Witteklip MPC to the community leadership.

On the previous day we had conducted a  Solar training with the pupils
   from the neighbouring school Van Stadens Farm school and selected the
   best performers from the training and they were rewarded with Desk Solar
   lights on this handover day.

Today we trained of 60 of school's learners, on the topic of solar energy. One of the main reasons for the training was for the "changing of behaviour". If behaviour can be changed in this area, it will affects choices, lifestyle and ultimately, the environment. The one group was 31 grade 4's,5's,6's and 7's and the second group was 29 grade R,1's,2's and 3. See more...

 

The first group enjoyed the training as its also part of their curriculum and they relate better as they had a bit of light on what the training was about, whereas the second group which are still on foundation phase had to just start looking at the solar pictures.
