We
would like to take this opportunity to share with you the amazing achievements
that have been made possible by the MWVS Community Development Programme
Under
the stewardship of George Meko, Edmon Buni, David Bili and Secret Buya the
community leaders and their project teams concluded their project coordination
training on the 29th March 2016, received their framed certificates, followed
by some light snacks and drinks and parted around 11pm.
Having
walked the journey with all parties concerned, we have to commend the community
leaders and their project teams for demonstrating tenacity, patience and
courage to attend these weekly classes – those of you that live in PE are aware
of the very unforgiving weather conditions, especially in winter. It is now
incumbent on all parties to assist the community leaders and their project
teams secure bite-sized projects that they can start implementing. The
intention has always been that AfriCoast with its extensive network would be
able to provide these opportunities and assist their communities develop their
skills and gain the project experience.
The
next phase was intended to take the current incumbents to the next level of
project implementation and recruit a new cohort of project teams. In this
manner creating real skills that the communities can use to deliver their own
outcomes.
To
conclude, we’d like to acknowledge Mr. George Meko for his commitment to seeing
the program to its conclusion.
To
Messrs Buni, Bili and Buya – the journey has only just begun!
